About

culturepop.asia is a home for all that pops in Asia.

All written works on this site are by Bridget Di Certo, an Australian journalist based in Myanmar.

Bridget worked as a lawyer in Australia in the fields of environment, native title and public interest law. She left her position as a lawyer in Australia to work for the international prosecutorial team at the United Nations Khmer Rouge tribunal in Cambodia. From there, she moved into journalism in Cambodia and worked with The Phnom Penh Post and ASIAlife Magazine publications. Bridget worked in Taiwan with Next Media Animation at its news animation studio scripting and producing international news videos for broadcast. She has now returned to Southeast Asia to work as an editor at The Myanmar Times, an English language publication.

Powered by curiosity and a love of writing (and paid with little more), culturepop.asia homes a unique looks at life in Myanmar and Southeast Asia from an semi-diva who just can’t help herself.
